  4. Mr gosavi , when you tip a win bet stick to roi on the WINS only. It is petty to publish place dividend and claim superiority on the strike rate. You need to grow up.

Rs 100 return on a 1/2 money favorite ?? Do you want punters to bet for place.

  5. Dear Mr Sairam,

I wish you had not passed such remark without getting to know the full story.

Let me draw your attention to a claim which I had made (in August 2008 when the FINOO system was being formulated) which you can find in comments section of the post dated April 25, 2009:
"At the moment the results are absolutely great, without any "qualifier rule" for PLACE betting. You will be shocked but 80+% strike rate seems to be the norm."

Now with qualifier rules, if FINOO takes that level close to an amazing 90%, I think in the interest of fairness of an experiment for a theory which is still in its infancy, recording PLACE bets stats is only an academic exercise.

At no stage I have taken any credit for its stupendous PLACE strike rate (even for on-money choices, if you think it's easy, all I say is just TRY IT!), not even when Mr Aswin Patel on Mr Nair's blog commended on the 11-in-a-row success record.

  6. Mr Gosavi dont pay attention to such people. You must learn to ignore internet people who make personal comments. Your blog has taken everybody by surprise by its quality and those who feel threatened will react like that. I am sure sairam is not his real name. By the way my real name is Shreekant Barve.

  7. This is for Anonymous/Sairam. What you are perhaps not aware that Mr Gosavi is always the first with his tips. Sometimes just after the declarations are out and most times even before the race books are out. For example his Saturday selections were posted at 12.30 pm on Friday and Sunday tips were put up before 3.30 pm on Saturday. So how do you expect him to know whether the horse is half money or 10 to 1?

  8. I agree with you that at the end of the day win will possibly give better roi than place. But mr gosavi don't you think that due to better strike rate one can use a more aggressive money management for place than for win? And then maybe the profits won could be much more substantial for place than for win? After all don't the profits count in the end than all this academic stuff like roi, strike rate etc? I would like to hear what you have to say on this.

  9. Yes PS, it is profits and only profits that count at the end of the day. But an aggressive money management system may turn out to be dangerous especially when you face losing streak which, at some point in time, is going to be inevitable. Chances are you may discover betting for WIN with a less aggressive money management system was in fact better option. In any case, since this is a public trial basically for academic test of the FINOO method, I am monitoring flat bet roi for both win or place, although as I have strongly advocated number of times earlier, my recommendation is to go for ONLY win bets.
