FINOO list horses for Saturday (July 18), Bangalore races

PRIME BET:

WIN only:
Bucephalus (3-2)

=====

FINOO Experimental bets

WIN & PLACE:
Satin Wood (5-5)

SHP & PLACE:
Virtuoso (3-1)

PLACE only:
Pretty N Fast (2-10)

Please NOTE: Strangely, except for the first race, no other race has any favourite below 2 to 1. And in the first race, although I don't think Mercutio is much of a horse, I for the first time leave Bookies' Delights blank since it has been started.

So no horses to lay against today.

  1. Good Evening.

Today, I had 2 -ve bets on 8-14 & 9-1. Flaming Arrow Was on your Bookies Delight List.

Tomorrow, My - ve bet is 4-5( Jersey pride. I don't know the likely odds.)I think that tomorrow's card is very compititive ODDS-WISE.The irony will be that 2 favorites will be from S. Domonique's Stable!!!!

    Regards,

  3. Hard luck Gosavi. It was sad Finoo jockey was mindlessly changed by stewards. Rwitc athys have no racing sense left. Substituting srinath with shailesh shinde on a fancied runner was a joke. Anyway good luck for banglore tomorrow.

  5. Dear Rohit,

Of course the track reporter himself would be in a position to exactly explain what he actually means when he uses a phrase like that. But I would presume he meant "on very tight reins" or "hard held", indicating the horse was severely restrained by the rider and still clocked a decent time.

  7. Thank you Mr Bharat Shah for posting the message when our systems were off.

Due to the breakdown of our main computer today morning, we could not update some bloggers' selections as also the results & other information of today's races. We regret the inconvenience caused.

However, the problem is now rectified, and you can watch today's Bangalore races on our Race TV channel right now.

Mr Gosavi however had to leave for his usual Saturday evening time with cancer patients before the system was rectified. His selections for Sunday therefore will have to wait until he returns, which could be anytime after 8.30 pm tonight.

    Again, sorry for the inconvenience.

  9. CONGRATS Mr Prakash on BUCEPHALAS.Even though i personally likes Virtuoso, i had not ruled out BUCEPHALAS.

FOR TODAY I WANT YOUR ESTEEMED OPINION ON THE CHANCES OF ICEBREAKER.

Can i classify it as a good lay?

  10. Dear Shekhar P,
It happens in racing. I have now come to a stage where I can treat the stipes' decision like "luck of the race" thing. You win some, you lose some. And at least this week, I cannot complain as what Pune stipes did to me was more than made up by what the Bangalore stipes did yesterday in the third race. So no complaints.

    Thanks Viraj.

    Dear Swamybabu,
As you know I am not a great fan of bloodlines so I wouldn't know if Icebreaker has it in her to "stay" the 14-furlong trip. But I think she has the required "class" to tackle her present rivals, and the trip distance will not really matter in the end.
