I just spoke to deputy secretary Mr NHS Mani and he said there is no feeler/directive from the govt on the issue, and he sees absolutely no chance of the weekend Pune races getting cancelled due to Swine Flu.

You are regularly updating the results in public trial. There please introduce two more columns, which will be very useful in analysis after some time (1) Name Of The Venue & (2) Opening Odds from any source e.g. India Race or Bol Race.

I have shouted from the rooftops that more than 'horses for courses', I believe in 'jockyes for courses'. Md Shoaib in the just concluded Mysore season has 6 wins out of 16 mounts, which amounts 38% win rate which is second only to Suraj Narredu (4 wins out of 9 mounts). I think this boy has a great future if he keeps his nose stuck to the task, and in fact this Mysore season could be a deciding one for his personal career. My money will surely ride on him tomorrow, there is no doubt about it.

Dont play hail mikail without checking racetime odds. The horse may not be on job today. Darasha in mysore tries only with Gyaneshwr & Suraj. Dont say i did not warn.

Smart N Special is NOT listed because it is NOT running, it has been withdrawn. However, I think Indiarace should have mentioned it. And Hail Mikhail has drifted from night odds 3 to 1 to opening odds of 6 to 1, so perhaps they have not mentioned.
Regarding my advice, I can only say what I am going to do with my money. And that's the SAME thing what I do for any FINOO bet: Disregard odds, inside information, jobber/non-jobber stuff etc, and make a FULL bet on Hail Mikhail.

ReplyDeleteI don't agree with J'sin sir. HM was a brilliant call. He dropped rider bolted & galloped for 3 mins before being caught & still just lost in last 50 meters coz must hv got tired. I feel the trainer should hv asked for withdrawal. Do keep up finoo for Mysore. I think only finoo can beat mysore nothing else.

Even I was not at the racecoruse, but at about 5.20 pm I got a call from the bookmaker with whom I had placed my bet in the morning. He said, "Your horse had bolted and is running all over the place." He is a nice soul and of course wanted to give me a chance to cancel my bet if I wanted. I asked him only one question: "Has the jockey been hurt? Will they change the jockey if they catch and run the horse?" On that he said the jockey was just fine, he was not hurt at all, so if the horse was not withdrawn, the same jockey will ride. On hearing that I told him I want to bet more if the odds are going up. And indeed the odds had shot up, so I placed additional bet. I however do not know for how much time Hail Mikhail galloped riderless so I cannot sit in judgement over whether he was a tired horse.

Above all, FINOO public trial has to be HONEST. It will be cheating if we keep the public trial only for Mumbai, Pune & Bangalore when we are taking call also on Mysore/Hyderabad/Kolkata. If it is a test by fire, let FINOO undergo it. After all, the universality of the system is far more important than your or my desire to have a profitable system.

ReplyDeleteIn my experience If the animal bolts and runs the full distance(max 1400-1600) to the winning post riderless and then again made to run, it makes no difference to the horse if its on the job.This applies to top wtd horses too,provided it should not get injured....
ReplyDeleteYes "Come on sense" HM was not on the job and ended up paying 5/1 and lost by a length. the fav paid 4/1.....Yes I agree there was no commonsense in the whole issue..
